So what if the song is depressing? It's still beautiful, and anyone can choose to use it as a wedding song. And no one said it was a "happy" song. It's actually very short-sighted of you to say that this song shouldn't be a wedding song just because of its tragic lyrics. Not all wedding songs have to be mushy-love songs. Take for instance Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game". Many couples have played it as their wedding song, and yet it's very sad, depressing. |

Like so many of you, this is also one of my favorite songs of all time. It's so incredibly beautiful. I think the lyric is ambiguous; the meaning isn't clear, or it could mean a number of things. I love it when lyrics are so confusing and incomprehensible that they give you a headache trying to decipher them. |

Yes, definitely. This song is beautiful & haunting. I have to agree with you, endo. This does seem to have to do with a break up, and the narrator's misery and bitterness because of it. |

This is one of my favorite songs of all time. The music and lyric seem so simple, and yet it's anything but that. To me, it brings to light the complexity of solitude. It's almost evident that the narrator has a desperate longing for a friend; someone who can listen, understand.
I love Mira, they are one of my fav. bands. Their music is beautiful & brilliant! |
