No, actually I don't agree with the interpretations =) sorry, I don't know why I wrote this. It sounds good, all of these interpretations sound really good, but I think its about something else, something deeper. I have some allusions, but its confusing, so I don't want to write anything here, until I'm completely sure :) |

Who says that they are christian rock? The band is not labeled as christian. But Jason is :D
Anyway, not all songs are about God, I agree. But this one is :-P

I agree with you, but i would also add: i think he's singing about how everything is so worthless and meaningless, things for which he once would maybe die, seem now so shallow to him, and the only true meaning he finds in God. And I think that this "sun" thing has been wrong written. I read somewhere else the same lyrics and it says "Son", what makes more sense when he sings about it, and when he say: "..I will follow the Son, wherever He goes, its not too far to run, so I will follow the son."
Don't you think that that makes more sense? I mean, how can he say: Wherever sun goes, wherever HE goes. If it would be sun, then would it also be "it", and not "he". That's how I see things pretty much.. :) |

That is one too sad song... :( its really so touching and makes me wanna cry, specially when i hear the chorus. Does anybody know why his parents divorced? Whats the real reason, the main issue? So sad.. |

I really don't have so much time to read all the comments :) but I've read few of them, and have to say that I agree with warriorJC, Soul Sista and Jessa_05. Its all about God. Though people are confused when it says "I'm falling even more in love with you" and don't understand how that can refer to God. But well, it does :) When you get to know Him better one day, you'll see that it makes sense. I honestly wish that for all of ya.
P.s. All this arguing about Lifehouse as a christian band are so unnecessary. They are NOT a christian band, but a lead singer and a bass player indeed are christians, and that's why songs are so much about God. Jason said in one of his interviews that he does write about his faith and God, but he lets people to interpret their songs the way they want to, because he's familiar with the fact that most of the people, if they hear that its a christian band won't even give them a chance (if they are not christians), but in this way everyone can hear and judge in their own way, and who knows, maybe even someone gets saved and notice that God is NOT THAT borring :) hopefully

I agree with interpretations. I guess it makes sense, all this celebrity stuff. And in one way, its like Jason is singing about himself, i.e. he doesn't want to end up like almost every celebrity, in the world of fame and false glow where everybody's just pretending and living like they are the center of the world. To me, it seems that Jason is all about down to the earth type, its all about music, like he puts himself in the shade while his songs are being discovered, and that's what really matters. Its all about music. If you get what I'm saying... :) |

Yeah, this song is totally about God... whether you like it or not. Such an amazing song. But as Jason himself says, you may be free to interpret it the way you want, or even if it fits your situation, I guess no one minds.. But the fact is obvious ;) |
