i know that my thoughts on the song are, i'm sure, in no way correct...but i thought i would shed yet another interpretation of the song. zombies. yeah...i said it. Be afraid of the lame, they'll inherit your legs Be afraid of the old, they'll inherit your souls Be afraid of the cold, they'll inherit your blood Après moi le deluge, after me comes the flood (...zombies deteriorate, making them lame, old, and cold! the flood refers to the end of the world, when the dead will come back.) like i said, i know it's poppycock, but it's supercool to listen to the song with that in mind. :) |

i read that scooter didn't want to play this song live because he would become really emotional...ironically making it my favorite song... i do have a question...i downloaded this song a long time ago off one of their websites and lost the mp3 when my pc crashed. does any one know where i can find it again? |

this song pulled a lot of my emotions to the surface when i first heard it...and is uncomfortably coincidental with my life right now. i'm in a relationship with a man right now who is a bit older than myself. he is my "volcano". i can't be a real person, a human, because he "melts" me down. he holds me down and i am unable to better myself and my life. i am constantly bending to his needs and ignoring my own. "i kissed your mouth and back...that's all i need". but the second verse is her or me, rather, realizing this and getting fed up. but there's something about him...he begs, he pleads. she responds, "don't throw yourself like that, in front of me". she can't leave, but can't stand her lover treating her the way he does "don't drag my love around". but, alas, she's young. can't help it. i don't know what he has, but we can't break away.... i cry just about every time i hear this song... |

oh, and as far as what the song means... it's a poem: "to his coy mistress" by andrew marvel. it's about a man wanting a woman who doesn't share the same feelings...and he's very hasty, and rushing her because he feels their time is running out, hence the "had we but world enough and time". it's a beautiful poem and kyle did a wonderful job capturing the emotion in his lyrics. "come feel safe within my arms!" gets me every time. |
