| Hanson – These Walls Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
Why has no one commented on this song?!?!? A beautiful song about a failed relationship, maybe romantic or a friendship. I love the feeling of hopelessness the song evokes. I think everyone has had the fight or flight moment with a loved one, and once you realize you can't fight anymore, the suffocation of the situation makes you want to run away from the whole thing. And the song makes note that this is a continuous issue, and the arguments occur relentlessly, "The sky is falling all over again Just another dis-conclusion Another disillusion" It's really a heartbreaking thing, the dissolving of a relationship. |

| Hanson – Dying To Be Alive Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I think in the song they are in particular discussing the desires about people who don't have long to live, due to illness. But the message is the same, and I think everyone feels this way sometimes. When your life is so dull and monotonous, and you find yourself bogged down with things that are unimportant. When people are living to work, and not working to live you would sometimes do anything to feel alive, or inspired. And the thing is, no matter how much money you make, or how many friends you acquire, you die just the same as the person on the street, or the guy backpacking around the world, so you might as well do what makes you feel alive. Consequences be damned. | |
| The Goo Goo Dolls – Don't Beat My Ass (With a Baseball Bat) Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| This song is very funny, especially with that folky twang. I do love the twist at the end though and the fact that he actually caught an STD from the girl. | |
| The Beatles – Drive My Car [Mono Version] Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Picking up chicks with cool cars. Also, this is a must for a road tunes playlist. | |
| The Beatles – Doctor Robert Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Clearly a song about a phoney doctor, possibly one who hands out drugs and booze from 'his special cup'. A little sad, but typical since most bands at the time, including the Beatles were doing drugs, and everyone had their special dealers. | |
| Tabitha's Secret – Forever December Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I love this song. It's the perfect winter song, the one you listen to while you're outside at seven in the morning in mid december and it's snowing. Lol. It's a shame that few people realize how great this bad was. They got completely overshadowed by Matchbox. Shame, but they still get played on university radio. |

| Hanson – Never Love Again Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This is my favorite Hanson song ever. And it's a complete shame they never did a good version of it. It's beautiful and heartbreaking. A relationship ended so painfully that one party feels as though it's the end. If he doesn't love her than he never will love another. I just love the part "Cause I still haven't told all my friends about the two of us". How sad, he's so torn up about it he can't even accept what happened. He wants her back and he knows if he tells anyone that the relationship is over, it will be the closing of the door. Sigh. I love this song. |

| Hanson – Love Somebody To Know Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I remember when my friend Sarah found this song and was convinced it was written about me. Lol. At least the bubbilicious part. I think this is just one of those feel good songs. It's about a guy who meets someone so amazing he just can't believe she didn't run the other way when she saw him. Lol. And it basically explains the difficulties of understanding love. People can explain what it is to love until they turn blue, you can read as many books and poems as you want, but you really do have to love somebody to understand. End of story. |

| Hanson – Yearbook Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I've been thinking about this song for ten years. That's too long. Oi. But I came to the same conclusion but a little less depressing since I find it hard to believe Hanson wrote about suicide at that age. But perhaps Johnny was just a seriously messed up kid who ran away from home. Or perhaps his parents moved him away. Either way he dissapeared awfully quickly. @ wheredidjohnnygo, trust me, I didn't get a better reply at all. Last time I saw Hanson I asked the same thing and all they did was laugh. And then Zac made some joke about all of the drugs they were taking at the time. Poo. To be honest, maybe even Hanson has no idea what they wrote about. It could be a Beatles moment. Without the drugs I hope. |

| Better Than Ezra – A Lifetime Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The REM song is basically about fleeting moments of beauty and happiness. And how eventually it all has to come to an end. I think it's perfect and it seems to make sense with "A Lifetime" in a sort of ironic sense. | |

"Perfect Circle" - 3:30 That's the REM song in question. Just thought I'd let everyone know. |
