i kind of understand what it means... idk i feel like it IS about god... hello they call me "i am" that very much makes sense and someone commented on what the "vermon swimming on the streets" has to do with god well from what i took it as... we are the vermon... sinners... and this girl... even though she is going through some awful situation at home, shes getting through it, she knows she will make it... and the part about "getting him off to know we all blackout" the girl in question idk if its right to say finds it humorous... not really humorous but you know what i mean i think... she maybe laughs at the fact that the man that is hurting is getting pleasure out of thinking she is "blacking out" when really she is getting through it... so maybe the girl in the song is just laughing at the fact that he thinks hes hurting her, but reallly shes only physically hurt, because she has god, and knows that everything is going to be alright... idk but thats just me and also i love this song... i listen to it every day... and it really makes me feel like im not alone in the world :) |

i seriously thought the lyrics were "mad for medusa"... not made for medusa... considering the song is titled "mad for medusa" but you know i guess whatever lol that book store thing is actually pretty funny... i think a lot of times we make lyrics out to be bigger than they actually are... but i mean lyrics speak differently to each different person, and thats what makes music so wonderful... i mean, what i thought the song meant, and finding out that it was written about a porn shop basically.. ha lol |

this song is possibly the cutest song i have ever heard. its just so wonderful, and after reading that the song is about having an unplanned pregancy, its so easy to pick out all of the parts in the song that apply to this theory... it just makes me feel all wonderful inside :P this song gets me through my most terrible days :) |

i know maybe this sounds incredibly lame... but i honestly dont know what i would do without mae in my life... the rawness of his voice... and how it is flawed, yet still perfect... ahh i just love it and i believe its "meet us in the afternoon" and im not really sure wether they are a christian band or not... i mean obviously none of their songs have swearing or satanic meaning behind them... but i wouldnt necesscarily say they were christian either. idk? lol but still, their religious background doesnt even matter, good music is good music, people are people... :) |
