| Bright Eyes – A Perfect Sonnet Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| The first time i heard this song, i cried like crazy, because at the time i was dating this girl that i really liked and i was afraid to lose her. She was the one that introduced me to Bright eyes. When we broke up, the song was even more depressing. I am an emotional person i guess. If you think this song is sad, listen to "Its cool, we can be friends". It is even more sad. | |
| Bright Eyes – It's Cool, We Can Still Be Friends Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This was the first song i heard from bright eyes and i was left in tears. Every morning when i woke up, the song played in my head and i had to cry for 20 minutes. I love it how he adds emotion behind his lyrics, that is what makes it unique and awesome. It relates to my life in many different aspects. Another song that I like is "A Perfect Sonnet", but it does not top this song. It would be awesome to meet this guy. Here are a few of my favorate lines from the song: And we still watch movies, but we don't share the couch I guess that your truth is just the ghost of your lies I guess your kind of truth is just the ghost of your lies This song is the best song i ever heard in my life. It is so simple, but yet so powerfull. |

| The Cure – Three Imaginary Boys Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Go to Wikipedia and look up "The Cure". You will learn that The Cure had many members come and go before they acually became known as "The Cure". They had different names for the band too. And This was the original album title (Three Imaginary Boys) for "Boys Dont Cry". "Boys Dont Cry" was the name for the american release; it was released in 1980 instead of 1979. | |
| The Cure – Grinding Halt Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I totally agree with MaskOfSanity. The meaning is right on the dot. | |
| Peter Bjorn and John – The Chills Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I thought it was "your fear is crowded", but you might be right. PB&J are from Stockholm, so making out some of the words can be hard. | |
| Peter Bjorn and John – Poor Cow Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song might be a summary of all the songs on the entire album "Writers Block". Most of these lyrics explain issues that are present in each song. And the song title might have somthing to do with the meaning as well. | |
| Peter Bjorn and John – Paris 2004 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I agree with fern, this song is awesome. | |
| Peter Bjorn and John – Objects of My Affection Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| If you go to the bands myspace profile (myspace.com/peterbjornand john) it states all of their influences in relation to all their music. It helps when decoding the meaning of a bands song if you know what influenced them to write it. One of their biggest influence seems to be relationships. | |
| Peter Bjorn and John – Let's Call It Off Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The part "Some things look better inside of the store" and "Some things are better to leave unexplored" is saying that relationship didnt work, and to try it again would be stupid and a waste of timeand that it wasnt meant to be. | |
| Peter Bjorn and John – Amsterdam Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Most, if not all, Peter Bjorn and John songs are depressing. All the songs are from experiences they have had in their lifetime relating to relationships. I like it that all their songs are depressing, it makes me feel better when i listen to it. That is why Peter, Bjorn, and John are just awesome. | |
| Peter Bjorn and John – Big Black Coffin Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Since no one has tried to decipher what this song means, I guess I will give it a shot... This song is about the guy that was dumped by the other person. He really liked her, but she didnt like him. "it's coming back to things you've said to me i'm hiding away from reality denying myself for the better parts and you slip back and say "don't take it hard" He is reflecting on the past and not allowing himself to recover from the past. I also think when the big black coffin is mentioned, it is symbolism for all things black (Things bad or bad moments from the past) will be buried, like a coffin. Forgotten, as some would say. The "Bye Bye Bye" part at the end is stating that the guy is saying bye to all the things from the past and is moving on. I hope some people will add to what I have said. |
