It's about getting drunk and cutting yourself, hence the name "blooddrunk". Although I think it also might be an analogy for how he gets "drunk" off the feeling of cutting himself, there is a definite literal alcohol component to it. After all, at concerts before performing this song he has said "This next one is about a bottle of whiskey, and really fuckin poor judgement". |

I would have to agree with the idea of it being about Dave being kicked out of Metallica, and that be the relationship he is describing. I think the first first really backs that up because what would being pissed off at your girlfriend have to do with fame or money?... Unless she's a celebrity or something... |

| Slayer – Seven Faces Lyrics

I got something completely different than all of you. I think it's about somebody that has a mental disorder such as Schizophrenia who has multiple personalities and they are aware of it. That's why they see all seven faces, and each one looks a lot like them. Also I think this person is hurting other people for their own perverse benefits as well as raping them or something. "There's nothing wrong with a little greed, never enough to satisfy, such a driving desire that burns inside" would be this persons justification for their actions. "I want it all, more pain more sex more of everything" I think kind of sums up how they like what they get from what they are doing to people and they can't stop...
Kinds fucked up I guess but that's what I thought of. |

You have got to be the most gullible, pathetic person ever. Christianity is obviously a religion. You are so fucking stupid just for saying it is not. Christianity was created by Politicians way back in the day to scare illiterate goat herders into behaving, and the same principal is applied by politicians today. That is why "In God We Trust" is on the American currency. If you are that gullible and are completely incapable of thinking for yourself, I truly feel bad for you because people will just walk all over you in your life. Good luck with life, because it is going to be a hard one with that attitude. Oh, and I also hope somebody saves YOU. |

Because all the fucking retards like you, who think they are Satanists do not have the capacity to think or interpret the lyrics at all. They are just fucking morons that see something that says God is not real, and they go "ZOMG HE MUST WORSHIP TEH DEVIL, AND I MUST GOEZ AND RAM ANOTHER PENCIL UP MAH NOZE!!!!!". First, most obvious hole in this whole "Satanic" theory, is that Satan is part of religion, which they clearly state they feel is completely made up and so on and so forth, so if they think religion is fake, they obviously do not think Satan is real... For the "I've made my choice, six six six" it could easily be saying that based on the cruelty of God and how selfish he is, he would rather spend eternity with the thing "God" is trying to "save" you from, which is Satan. And, if you know anything about religion you will know God is one of the most selfish and harmful "beings" ever.
That's all just off the top of my head, thinking about it for about 20 seconds. Try it sometime, the whole thinking thing can actually get you somewhere in life. |

Music expresses the opinions of the writers, rarely is all of the writers material completely fabricated and has no meaning nor expresses their opinion on the subject at hand. Put the pieces together. |

Uhm.. You're dumb as fuck. How can they be "Satanic" when in more than half of their songs they basically say god is not real and that religion is fake. That means that Satan is not real either, dumb ass. |

You know the expression, "You've crossed the line" or what ever, well I think the meaning of the title/lines "The Faded Line" is that something is wrong (alcohol, anger issues, drugs, abuse, some political thing) or what ever is is causing this person to not know when "They've crossed the line" and that the area between right and wrong is very "grey" if you know what I mean. |

You where totally right who ever said it was to tell emo kids to cheer up. This is a "Pick yourself up song" which tells depressed people they can make it through it. Randy said that himself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvYpN9LB02A video proof of it. ;) |

You got the lyrics wrong, but it was a good attempt at them by just listening to the song, I noticed you were wrong in these places
"And swore that youÃd never become the cliche" not machine.
"Everything learned, forgotten and dead" not lies.
"Slowly succumbing more, Every dying day" not age.
Good try though! If you don't believe the lyrics are probably on their website under releases then click Wrath. |

| Lamb of God – Again We Rise Lyrics

Just to touch on the theory of it being about poser metal bands, although it does make sense I think it's more likely that was one of the layers to the song, but not the whole meaning. Although
"store-bought additude and spit
a sugar-coated piece of shit
an instant rebel, just add greed
another useless commodity
broken glass and a broken jaw
lies are told in a southern drawl
poor-house poverty's your shtick
the real thing would kill you quick"
really makes senses with that theory since its basically saying you can go buy all this shit try to act like a bad ass, but really you're just "another useless commodity" to the metal scene. Also "go home son, hang your costume up a goddamn insult to the rest of us" seems like it's saying take off all the fake shit, your just an embarrassment to real metal bands, and the line "the real thing would kill you quick" sounds like it's talking about the amount of effort it takes to be a real metal band, and that all of these poser bands would die before they could put the amount of required effort into their band.
Anyway, despite sufficient proof I feel the song has another meaning because that is a fairly arrogant message, and it doesn't seem like they're style to do something of that manner. |

Just a thought, but did anyone ever think this could be about a child soldier from South Africa? After all that would explain the third world and down south soldier part, because there is no way in hell anywhere in the U.S. is like a third world country... |

Ok, I'm not a complete genius when it comes to deciphering the meaning of a song or any other text for that matter, but I know for a fact that all of you that have posted (or at least what I read) was wrong. This song isn't about hell on earth or the apocalypse or any of that garbage. Here's why.
"Bastard Sons Beget Your Cunting Daughters
Promiscuous Mothers With Incestuous Fathers
Engreat Souls Condemned For Eternity
Sustained By Immoral Observance A Domineering Deity"
Basically that talks about sluts and incest, which blatantly have nothing to do with the apocalypse. If you don't know what the words mean I'd suggest grabbing a dictionary.
Onto my meaning, it sounds like this song could be about a father raping his children and
"Chaos Rampant
An Age Of Distrust
Confrontations
Impulsive Habitat"
states how the children or child can't trust anyone and is always in a state of panic because of how their parent(s) have betrayed them.
There's much more I could say with quotes but I'm going to STFU now.
Also, Slayer defiantly isn't as "Satanic" as majority of people have labeled them. If you take time to read the lyrics, you'll understand. Well assuming you have a vocabulary past grade 5... |

The song is about a sadistic Nazi "doctor" named Josef Mangele that performed brutal experiments that he claimed as scientific research on jews, especially twins and children; Josef Mengele was never charged for what he did. The last verse explains some of the things he did to the jews, and yes he did sew jewish twins together to make siamese twins. |

This song has absolutly no meaning to it whatso ever, its just another rapper that wants attention, which is why i think its a bad song. a good song consists of emotion, a message and being able to relate the message, or what you interpreted to be the message. its clear this song lacks all the characteristics of a good song, making it the worst song ive ever herd in my life. |

I havn't seen one correct meaning on the song. Which is what makes Linkin Park such good artits. This song is actually about a bad record label, but you wouldn't know that because Linkin Park lets you interpet the emotion and meaning on the song so you can relate to it; unlike almost every other artist. A good song is a song you can relate to. |
