| Robots in Disguise – the sex has made me stupid Lyrics

OMG this is a truly brilliant song. Its simplicity in lyrical arrangement only makes it so much more complex in its realism. The honesty within these boundaries makes it so rich in self exploitationism that it cannot be denied it brilliance. Musically the song is layered with great sond, great vocal range and mixing. Truly masterful!! |

| Madonna – Physical Attraction Lyrics

Physical Attraction is by far Madonnas deepest song of "hunger". The hunger of the flesh and the heart. Released in 1983 it is one of Madonnas earliest songs. It was released as a single, which explains why its so long. it fuses pop, synth, r&b, and what would be a trademark in many other songs... deep throaty talk. It is about uncertainty, about wanting and waiting - much like Borderline. I love it for its length and confusion and for Madonnas earliest if not the first example of her extremely wide vocal range, of which very very few singers have. A this time Madonna was hungry for International fame and fortune amidst the hard rough dirty city of New York. In a crowded megalopolis city of NY, Madonna would certainly be looking for love, someone to nurture her.
Of all he songs this is my favorite without a doubt. Its true pure Madonna as a young artist singing from the heart and soul. |

| New Order – The Perfect Kiss Lyrics

Brilliant! I specially love the long jam session after the lyrics - toads singing in the back hightens the feeling of isolation in a metaphorical jungle. Its a beautiful song in which the members of the group are clearly just jamming, each bringing such unique elements of their instruments and spirits. I painfully miss songs such as this where the lyrics support the music and not the other way around. Sometimes music is just music and other than a few lyrics it must live on its own. No heavy layering of words just brilliant sounds layered upon layers of a rich tangled sounds perfectly interwinded to allow the listener - escape. |

| New Order – Thieves Like Us Lyrics

I have to absolutely agree that is the most beautiful lyrical gentle innocent New Order song. Its in my top 10. I believe it goes beautifully with Kyoto Song from the Cure. These are two raw songs clearly coming from the dazed confused heart of two great song writers who open up their hearts and tortured souls to us. In Thieves Like Us its about young urban English love, referencing gay lovers. |
