This song is written for Blake, Jenny's male counterpart in the band. The two dated for 6 years, starting in 1996 and breaking up in 2002. "i know you better than you want me to inside your pockets and walking in your shoes ooh it can get better if you try" These verses suggest, at least in my opinion, that after their relationship, it's hard to be regular friends and bandmates because they have so much history. I read in an article that there may have been some jealousy on Blake's part when Jenny's solo project was more successful than his side project, The Elected. |
