cant believe no one has posted about this song yet. It is such a good song. I can listen to it over and over and jsut keep hitting 'repeat'. Its the perfect song for someone in a situation like I am right now. I think the lyrics are pretty clear. "Someday soon, I'm gonna pull myself together, Win or lose, I'm starting over again.." The guy is fresh out of getting dumped from a girl he really loved, but he knows he needs to move on becuase he cant bank on that love coming back. He knows he has to "throw the past aside" and when his momories of her are gone he wont hurt anymore hence "maybe i wont feel the pain when you leave me one day", meaning in his head......he is trying to move on, but he cant help but say that if in the future she remembers the love that once was and wants it back he might take her back. Until then he is trying to move on. All the guy wants now is for someone to come "take away the pain from the one who betrays" literally, he needs a new girl so that he can forget what he is hurt about, but he knows that he might not ever fulyl forget her, becuase she was everything to him "your were my heart....etc" Then the final two parts repeat as to say im serious about this shit....i need to move on, but hope you come back when you realize what you left. And he reiterates that he needs someone to take away his pain..... might seem like im rambling but this song hits home very hard right now. |

| i think this song is about a guy whos found a girl who has helped him get over something form his past. He wants to repay her for it.....idk if he does. I know from my own life that this has happened to me and i never got the chance to give the girl back what she first gave me that helped me though, becuase she left me. | |

| I agree with Benzo.....I think the meaning is post-break up. Basically i think the interpretation is right on, i think the guy is trying to move on, but is having a hard time, becuae he sees whatever it was that he had in the past, but he knows he deserves better | |

| I'm going through this exact song, for the second time. "You tell me that you need me, then you go and cut me down"-the girl came after me from the beginning, then left me for someone guy. Now shes "tell (ing) me that your sorry, but she didnt think id say that its too late to apologize"- Shes screwed me over so bad by leading me on that her sorry means shit, im hurt to much to even consider forgiving her. But at the same time i say i hate her im still saying "I'll take another chance, take it far, take a shot for you. I need you like a heart needs a beat"- meaning I probably love the girl enough to take her back, even if i know i shouldnt. and finally "and you say sorry like an angel, heaven, let me think was true"- i thought she was sooooo good, but i cant do this, i cant let her hurt me again, i have to move on." but shes got me "hanging from a rope ten feet off the ground"- meaning i jsut cant decide if i love her or not....so deep and so relatable to my life exactly | |
