I agree with the bush, this song isn't about giving up, but it is about when satan uses the sirens and their beautiful (yet decieving) song to tell us that there is no battle. We are part of God's army and are constantly fighting Satan, but when he can convince us that there is no fight then he is free overcome us with temptation.
We must fight on, and not listen to the siren's song right as the charge is made agains satan |

i love the line: following the footsteps of heroes never lead to safe and grey roads. So true
To me this song is an anthem of the fact that we all have the ability to make a huge impact on our world however it is a risk, a risk that we often don't take because we as humans strive for stability which is something we can never find in a risk. However if we are going to grow as people and change the world we need to live outside of our comfort zones. I don't think Christ ever lived a comfy life, but He changed the world forever |

I agree with seamanatee1. This song is about fighting about our sinful desires. (i think it is often talking about lust, it talks about his bride and how he{the devil) will use her to bait him for fire, or something like that) it talks about wanting to get out of the circle and not knowing but being fully reliant of God to help him through. (1Corinthians 10:13) And God provides the archers (which could be whatever it is that He provides) to help fight the battle.

This song is really good, and i really appreciate how it speaks about the way we (Christians) let so many evil things dwell with in us even when we know that is is wrong. I especially like that it takes a stand against lust and sexual impurity |

I agree with J35U5_ownz-M3 in that this song is about sin and how it tries to control us. This can be in a individualized or more generalized sense. Individually, when we let ourselves sin in one area we are paving a way to make it easier to do it again (how many times will we say that "this is the last time" for some sin). Generally, it can refer to how our world has become a very dark place and it tries to drag us down with its sexuality greed and hatred. Luckily Jesus Christ can overpower any juggernaut |

This is one of my favs by FIF
To me this song is about how often times hope is one of the hardest things to have, Sometimes we may feel like we don't deserve it (peter was a liar.. judas a hypocrite, paul a pharisee) and yet if we can swim through all the crap of our life, hope remains (peter swam across the water and found it on the beach) All the different examples from the Bible in this song seem to point to the characters hoping and waiting and when everything seemed lost hope arrived.
I have found that Reese often rights about hope. |

I think this song is awesome
I think it is about how we can spend our entire lives waiting for things to happen (for God to tell us what to do with life, for us to meet the right girl/boy, for us to know where we're supposed to work, etc.)But in the end we need to just jump in with faith and trust that God will take care of us. We may get hurt in it, but that is life. And i think that God wants us to live life to the fullest, which means joy and pain. So step out and take some risks i guess. It will make a man of you. ha |
