Ya basically this song is the ground work for purity. Its basically purity with a more upbeat tempo and a different chorus (compare the lyrics side by side and you'll see) Idk when the two songs were written so i cant say if this song was infact the ground work or if they just gave purity a different title, chorus and called it a demo (the quality is ridiculously good for a demo) to say a big fuck you to the guy who got purity removed from the original album. |

This song is about how Metallica felt about how prisoners in mental institutions. How people just lock em up (They keep me locked up in this cage can't they see it's why my brain says Rage), and leave them to try to work out their own problems (Keep him tied, it makes him well he's getting better, can't you tell? :and: They see it right, they see it well but they think this saves us from our hell) Does that make sense? Yes it does. |

I might be saying this again because i don't have time to read the other 160 odd posts but this is my take on the song... its a double meaning 0.0 System does it all the time so, they did again. It fits in with the making fun of emo music (bad grammar, lonliness, depression) and a soldier's day realizing that he is going to war (a lonely day because hes going to fuckin war) and how hes happy he made it through that day of his world crashing down on him/her. |

The awakening of the Holy mountains is about the armenian legend of Grigor Lusavorich. And lastly, the people are crying out for freedom. Grat song, probably my favorite! |
