There's deeper meaning here. I think there's two people in bad relationships or situations that have found one another and shared their deepest feelings (taking them places). but they've never "crossed the line" and now they've decided to go their separate ways. now he wants her back. he's been fooled by the illusion of the supposed right thing to do by staying with a bad deal. he's with somebody but he can't go anywhere and he's bored and lonely. now he's pleading, waiting for her. gee, i wonder what's going on in my life right now. the cool thing is that a lot of us can derive meaning from this song, that it works for different situations. |
