| Alanis Morissette – Pollyanna Flower Lyrics | 17 years ago |

sadistlitlePuppy: I think it's "f**k you". As opposed to "it's alright". The song puts side by side totally opposite attitudes or courses of action and reflects a sensation of being trapped between them. As if she wasn't really sure of how to cope with problems. |

| Alanis Morissette – Everything (Version 2) Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Since the first time I heard this version I felt there was something wrong with it. I can understand why they dropped the "asshole" from the first line, but the way they rearranged the middle part doesn't quite fit. I feel this edit is somewhat anti-climatic. |

This is from her first album, named simply "Alanis" released years before Jagged Little Pill. It's what you may call "early Alanis". The song itself is rather conventional in comparison to her later works but it's still a powerful song. |

| Juliet Turner – Indian Summer Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Every time I hear this song I feel it affects me in a way I can't describe, as if it reminded me of a time and place I've never been at. Maybe it's those... what? are those references to the wild west? The lyrics contains a lot of mental images, but I'm not sure what's their context. I'm not quite sure what to make of this. |

| Sarah McLachlan – When Somebody Loved Me Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This songs has made me cry many times. I think it has two meanings. One is that from the movie. The other is that of a mother who's daughter grows up and apart from her. |
