Fucking amazing. He ran away from his problems, and realised it's not where he should be. He belongs back dealing with them. If this fits into the Year Zero ARG, he ran to somewhere where he wouldn't be hunted/whatever, but he knows he should be back and fighting with the Resistance. |

Trent IS the Ruiner. It's all a part of his downward spiral. The way you have to look at the album, is the character looking at himself, as he travels down this path, first becoming more and more void of emotion, not caring about anyone, eventually becoming nothing but lust and hate. Once he realises this, it eventually leads to him committing suicide in the track "The Downward Spiral." Hurt is the character in some sort of afterlife, presumably limbo, where he is regretting killing himself, but he can't go back. Ruiner is just one of the stages he goes through. |

Yea it's about Hurricane Katrina. But I think it has a meaning that can apply to a lot of similar situations, and some parts can even be a personal relationship. Amazing song, so good live as well. |
