this song makes me cry inside every time I hear it... my best friend.. my first love.. and the only one that I can truly say that I have loved... he and I broke up.. well he broke up with me lol.. but he tells me all of the time he regrets it.. we go to two different schools... two different grades.. and I can't help but sit there on the "band bus" [I'm in the marching band... lol so is he] and look at the stars and sing this song... he has another girlfriend right now.. I wish he was a nun lol.. [I don't mean pastor lol because I don't want him to be able to be with other people.. if he was single for the rest of his life that would be amazing lol] but I just ... miss him.. alot. I feel like it's taking forever for next year to roll around and he and I will be in the same school.... [he's a grade younger than me] he sang this song to me while we were on the phone... and it meant so much I nearly bust a tear duct lol.. I really do miss him.. I get a little insecure about when he dates other people... I mean.. he's really just trying to make the best of the situation... and I guess, idk but we've dated other people ... it's not really working but we decided that we were going to wait rather than carry on a "long distance relationship" so... I just ... amazing song.. this is my life story, it talks about when two people who really care about each other have this moment.. that nearly stops time.. and makes everyone around them turn to a blur.... and when they wish they could fall into the other persons arms.. but soon to find out that the other person wants to be "just friends" and even though they may get back together they just have to "be friends" for a while and it's the most painful thing in the world because you know that your suppose to be together but you just can't be for some unearthly reason.. that neither of you know why..even though you both want each other so deeply it's almost painful.. long story short; sometimes when you have those kind of awkward but not really moments with someone.. like right before a break up.. and you just know... they give you that look and you just KNOW that it's coming .. I think it's about how sometimes when you are in love.. you are "in love with who you wish" they were.. and your too head over heels to notice until it's too late.. You seem to make things or aspects about the person in your head and kind of subconsciously lie to your self...because it's just that.. your "in love with who you wish they were" sometimes you don't want to face the truth and sometimes your just so blinded by love that you just don't catch it until you are already in over your head... this happens to me all the time lol .. after my ex dumped me I found my self comparing people to him constantly and then I just started lying to myself MAKING them who I wanted them to be in my head so that they would be perfect and "I'd show him" :] but hey, that's just my take on it.. |
