I would definitely agree with the thought that this song is about a guy and girl who had a loving relationship but for whatever reason the girl decided to end it. The guy whole-heartedly believes that she is still in love with him regardless of what she's said or done. He's "calling her bluff" and he's gonna do anything he can to get her back because without her life is just "bittersweet" and he's lost his heart with her gone. He's A-Okay, but he's not complete. He's tried to get rid of reminders of her (burning her stuff etc) but he can't bring himself to do it because he's still so in love with her. Very beautiful and it's a very real reflection of how we take things for granted until they are gone and we feel incomplete without them. |

You guys are really hitting the nail on the head with this song. It's definitely a reflection of life and coming to terms with getting older and coming of age. It touches on all of the aspects we go through, love, loss, friendships, and living life to the fullest. It's very touching and very artistically beautiful. In essence he simply says we are all the same and we all experience life in different ways yet its up to us to face our problems and to take chances before its too late and "you're moving to slow". We should all live like this. |

These guys are WAAAAAYYY more talented than CIWWAF. No comparison I'm sorry. :) However, this song is really cool and makes a lot of sense. He really hits the nail on the head when referring to modern America's exploitation of young women. I mean think about it.... cute face slim waist....what most girls strive for right? And the girls that do have "it" use it to their advantage. I agree with BuhRanDee. He's exactly right. I have looked from this perspective many times seeing girls just using their looks to seduce guys but everything they say has no thought behind it whatsoever, seriously makes me grind my teeth... ehhh... one word for girls like that.... but we'll keep this a PG comment :) |
