This song is about wanting to get over someone but at the same time wanting him to linger in your memory. You want to let go but deep inside you don't. "Things I have loved, I'm allowed to keep" The piano is so intense and so is her voice. She is brilliant and wonderful. She is fresh, eclectic and very very talented. |

This song had been in my iTunes for yeaars and I had never really payed attention to the lyrics. Well it basically tells the story of an old lady in her last night alive. She is lying in her bed dreaming, when Death comes in and starts whispering things to her from behind the curtain. Meanwhile, the lover of the lady is drinking a glass of absinth apparently to help the pain he feels of losing her loved one. Finally Death gets closer to the lady and whispers in her ear ""You are beautiful" In the name of the father and the holy spirit and Death returns and gets lost into the night. The lyrics are beautiful, you should also check the literal translation. |
