Thanks for the insight, jeremk0. I think Aaron's lyrics yield more thought provocation than any other artist I've listened to, all the while maintaining such beauty musically. I know it sounds weird, but I'd put MWY at the same musical genius of Radiohead or Sigur Ros. All of which have become my favorite bands by their lyrics and musical aptitude. Sorry, I think I got a little off topic....just wanted to let people know what's on my mind. |

Can someone help me decipher the line, "the true light of my eyes is a Pearl, equally emptied to equally shine." I've pondered this for a while now and I'm curious as to what other people think.
In agreement with jeremk0, I don't think this has any scriptural meaning, but the fact that Pearl is capitalized definitely hints toward a metaphorical reference for God, I believe. Tell me what you think. |
