I think this song is, quite literally, about someone's drug addiction ruining a relationship. She says, "I'll never get laid while I'm running your life," which suggests she knows she's not her significant other's top priority. She feels she cannot settle into any semblance of a normal relationship with this person. Since she "doesn't need drama," she's "walking away." |

I think this song is about two people in a relationship. one has wronged the other, and he/ she wants to talk about it. the "liar" wants their significant other to know it's all right to get angry, but not to judge too harshly, because their misdeed might have been necessary for the continuation of the relationship. |

Yeah, I definitely think this song is about sex, and about BDSM at that. The "I see you left a mark" stanza clearly illustrates this point, and then when he goes on to sing about "needing your discipline..." I don't see how it could be about anything else. |

I once listened to this song inside a Volkswagen Jetta swirling with marijuana smoke. I turned to the friend I was with and told her that I finally understood what Oasis was trying to say. It was about forgiving people that wrong you (letting it out) and not letting what they do bother you (don't let it in). Mind you, I was high, and it made perfect sense at the time. |
