| Backstreet Boys – I Want It That Way Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I find it hard to figure out what they mean when the lyric goes : "I want it that way". They want what what way and why? Which way do they want it? Or don't they want anything at all? Are they referring to the girl in the song? I'm lost... | |
| Jeff Buckley – Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Jeff Buckleys interpretation is about orgasms and stuff. The original wasn't. The Cohen version, that is. | |

I think it's about death. "The same city where I go when I sleep", in your dreams, a place that doesnt have an excact position, a place that only exists in your mind. I love this song, I love the beat and the mandolin. |

| I'm a little embarrased to say this, but I sorta kinda love this song. It's just so damn catchy! | |
| The Replacements – Here Comes A Regular Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song can lift me up and bring me down in equal measure. That's an accomplishment in songwriting. | |

Like other people in here, I am a big fan of the Ryan Adams version, it's really great, but this is also great. Ryan Adams changes the song into a titally different one, so when I listen to the two tracks, I don't really think about the fact, that it's the same song, cos each artist brings something different to the song. Although, I must say, this is my favorite version. Oasis forever! I think it's about lovers, but that theory fits almost every song, so I guess I'm not contributing with anything new here, but like I said, I think it is, like many other great songs, about love gone wrong. The road has been long and winding, but now, they finally realized that they have a problem, and they're gonna try to work it out, cos "afterall, you're my wonderwall", and "you're gonna be the one that saves me". |

| Jeff Buckley – Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |

cdyer: I believe it goes like this: I did my best, it wasn't much I couldn't feel, so I ltried to touch I've told the truth, I didn't come here to fool you And even though it all went wrong I'll stand before the Lord of song With nothing on my tounge but Hallelujah Or, from what I hear, some of the verses including this one is differnt from artist to artist. I know this verse, and I think it's one of the best ones in the song. No doubt, this song is in one way or another about love, and as other people have pointed to, orgasms. I think this song is hard to start interpreting, because I don't really know where to start, and it seems that every verse is it's own song, which is part of what I love about this. This is my all time favourite song, no comparison, and I used to listen to the original by Leonard Cohen, and I thank him for writing this beautiful song, but when I first heard this song I was hooked. This version is so much better, and Jeff sings with such pain in his voice, that you can actually feel everything. I love this song. |

The first time I heard this song was, in fact, on The OC. I don't feel ashamed of that, and I resent the people in here who seem to think that because you're not aquainted with the underground scene, you're a lesser person than everyone else. I like to think I am a little more sophisticated in my music taste, than say...everyone else I know! But I do occasionally find music in places like fx a TV-Show, like The OC, which is my favourite show, and I am happy for this band for the exposure, and I'm happy for the people who watch the OC, because, this show introduces you to a lot of music you wouldn't have heard, had you not watched this show. And I don't see how this song could be 'too cool' for the OC, cause it is perfect for the show's mood, and yes, maybe it is about nuclear war, but the lyrics are open to interpretation, right? I just needed to get that out, and I've realised that I've been repeting what FallenAngel91 posted. But hey, who cares? |
