Kurt Cobain wrote this song after staying up all night listening to The Beatles. He was trying to write a pop rock song. In my opinion this song sounds a lot like a Beatles song... with added grunge. One of my favorites though. |

The first verse is mostly about Dame Dash and to a lesser degree Biggs, his two ex-business partners in Rocafella Records. And the verse really says "But when friends business interest is THEY GLOW" In other words... their shine, their fame. Dame didn't feel like he was getting enough of the spotlight. This is why he later talks about his aversion to fame and him not understanding why people crave it so. |
