Snow Patrol – Chasing Cars Lyrics 18 years ago
I think also this character in the song might be asking the other person if they too are as in love as the other is. If you know what I mean. davidecoyote gave the best description I think though ;)

Jack Johnson – Good People Lyrics 18 years ago
Yes; a clear social comentary on the growing bitterness of the Western World. A really good song, however the song does have sureal traces and even traces of love and relationship life there to.

Joni Mitchell – Both Sides Now Lyrics 18 years ago
By the way there is a wonderful somewhat philosophical line in this song which I think we should all pay close attention to:
"Somethings lost, but somethings gained with living everyday"
A beautiful line for a beautiful song. :D

Frou Frou – Let Go Lyrics 18 years ago
A song which I am sure everyone enjoys! I think as most peoples comments I've read have said; the line "Beauty in the breakdown" is a philosophically brilliant quote for life in general. This song is quite sureal in its nature however we can sketch an assumption if we must from the film which used it wonderfully in context; Garden State. One of my favorite films of all time! The line "Beauty in the break down" line in the song can be seen in the story-line of the film; his mother died "the breakdown" and in the process and in coming back to his hometown he met Sam "the beauty". Therefore we can get a vaige image of the symbolism in this masterpice of music.
By the way if you haven't seen that film, you are missing something in your life :)

Nickelback – Far Away Lyrics 18 years ago
THis is a pretty straight forward love song about a man and a woman and they have either 1. had a relationship and broken up, or 2. He loves her but she doesn't nessicerly love him back and he wants her. The first one is most likely but a very deep analysis of the song can lead to both conclutions. Childzy that story of yours was quite touching :)

Newton Faulkner – Dream Catch Me Lyrics 18 years ago
From my long anaylasis of this beautiful song, I have come to the concludion it is about a man (or a woman but being sung by a man you tend to relate it) who is in love, but the his love doesn't nessicery love him back but he is shocked that everything he does and everything he is; has been changed due to his love "Do anything I want, Be anyone I want to be but it's us I see". "I can not believe I'm fallin'" is refering to his clear stubornness and Stocism towards such feelings usually but because he is so deeply in love he can't help but be completely derailed.

Joni Mitchell – Both Sides Now Lyrics 18 years ago
This one is a hard one. Nelia_slye_ and luckylexi7 I agree with the two to some degree here. Never being able to fully understand things. SpaceyLover11 I found yours to be the deepest and most insightful however, I think I will go with you aswell on this one, having a 'fariy-tale' view on life in childhood and being hit by the reality when as Mitchell sings "As every fairytale comes real". In the first verses of the song where Clouds are analysed; Mitchell points towards our changing view of the natural world as well as our changing view of emotion "I really don't know love at all".
Study the song well enough and you will also see traits of not telling people how you feel about them; "To say I love you right out loud" and Don't give yourself away" etc. ;)

The Goo Goo Dolls – Big Machine Lyrics 18 years ago
PRtwilight85 and Bee-Happy I think you two might have got it. It is obviously an unrequited love story. The boy likes the girl and she lives in a 'sinful' shallow world where she lives a somewhat immoral life of pleasure and hedonism. He on the other hand is more controlled and she obviously doesn't want him seriously so he keeps his distance but still waits for her in the background :) thats my view on it any how and I have listened to is Lord knows how many times.
