The entire premise of this song is based on a false statement illustrated by the fact that in most scenarios any rational being would rather feel nothing than pain. I'm pretty sure he would ask for novocaine when he's getting a root canal, and would beg for death if he were being tortured. The same goes for emotional suffering. If he were diagnosed with severe clinical depression he would definitely take Xanax to relieve the symptoms. What an idiot! |

This song is so much more meaningful today when it's "trendy" to feign mental illness and disease for attention. Just look at celebrities like Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Nicole Richie who spend time in rehab and jail as a publicity stunt. I know a lot of stupid young girls who've mimicked this behavior. Munchausen's Syndrome is absolutely disgusting and belittles the people who suffer genuinely. |

missme had it right with "it doesn't take itself seriously, nor does peaches take herself seriously, and neither should anyone else". The lyrics are completely nonsensical. It's an absurdist approach to humor, the same kind used with the tv show Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I know of many bands that do this - Anal Cunt, Mindless Self Indulgence, Muddauber, and Shittybuttz (to name a few). The song is clever and hilarious, but not meaningful. It's not supposed to be. |
