"We walk through the woods, and netiher of us looks back, not once; there's nothing behind us anymore." That verse just seems to sum up the whole album - the view that what we have isn't permanent, that it'll all eventually revert back to the way it was in the beginning. As setsunamundou said, it seems to be a recurring theme on this album. At least that's how I interpret it. Incidentally, a lot of the songs on this album seem to remind me of some of the science fiction I read... perhaps part of the reason why I love this album so much. =P |

"Now my house is far below; it's buried in snow; and I can't see my footprints anymore, they're too small..." I don't know what it is about that line, but it literally brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. Sounds corny, I know, but it's just beautiful. ^.^; |

The way I interpreted it was that the line had sort of a double meaning... One being that the alterations (or "haircuts") we've made to our world are permanent, there's no going back. And I guess the other more literal meaning would be about how we've replaced nature with concrete. I could be wrong, it's just my interpretation... Either way, I absolutely agree. This song is just... amazing. It's indescribable. |

Haha, yeah thought it was meant to be "boobies" too the first time I heard it. Totally agree with yosareann, it's never been my style, not to mention I hate PCD, but for some reason I find myself listening to this song a lot. I think it's that "ha ha ha ha" (or is it "la la la la"? I can never tell..) bit that's just incredibly addictive. Meh, I'll get over it soon enough. |
