to me, the beginning of the song when hes talking about "butterflies" signifies the start of a relationship, when everything is new and exciting and this one girl belongs to this guy and he loves her a lot then i think the competition - if you will - comes along and knocks him out of the way and then hes telling his story of how he was betrayed beautiful song! |

i think this song is so beautiful i think its about to people in love that have an argument and not knowing hwen to apologise..."but who am i to make a move?" thats what i interpreted because of the whole knife and bleeding heart thing OR he loves this girl and she doesnt love him and hes waiting for her hes like her admirer and she doesnt feel the same way i have no idea...but its such a beautiful song !!! |

i think soarchyourbackx 's lyrics are much more accurate especially "the curtain falls just behind me" to me this ties in with the chorus, "i didn't think you could; pull a stunt like that" it almost sounds like hes talking about fame and maybe hes talking about like being a famous artist and having girls that only like him for his fame...not himself like a stroy of somebody loving you for what you do, not who you are and also "roll the dice to see if you're out of luck tonight" love is a gamble... thats how i interpreted it though can somebody tell me what they think "the bloods gone cold" means coz i didnt understand that part... cheers |
