I can definitely see the use of god in this song, when he says "And high on the walk He's down on one knee He waits for the slow of the breeze Oh, wow, look at him now, on his feet High up in the sky And every moment stands endlessly It feels as though time isn't moving" He says "he" and I recall when the band put in their thanks in the liner notes, they say "we would like to thank him, who makes all things possible" and stuff like that. I cant believe no one has mentioned this but, ponder this. Could the tightrope possibly be just a phrase for the invisble line between earth and heaven? Lets go over my evidence. "On the tightrope Everything's bare" Hmm..Meaning there is no tightrope? "All that there is is from here to there" Basically, as i interpret it, it just means that heaven isn't that far away from us. Here meaning earth there meaning heaven "On the tightrope The goal is quite clear Don't lose yourself in your fear" This is where everyone here is coming together on a similar page. From heaven, you look down and you can see people on earth making awful mistakes and giving up on their chance in heaven. Their path is their way to progress in heaven.Zac says everyone waits on the walk, some are long and some are small but all are tall." The walk is tall becasue god is watching over you and you have him for guidance. "Well high on the walk The tightrope it bends And nobody knows where it ends " I assume it says high on the walk because you are on a hill or an upwards slope getting closer to heaven. The tightrope bends becasue to make it upstairs you have to go through adversity in your life. "To win or to lose You're all on your own Everyone must be alone" It is true though. It is your choice whether to believe and follow a good path. Sorry it was so long but there is so much detail in the song ,I couldn't help myself |

| Hanson – Blue Sky Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This song is basically about someone not wanting to live life without discovering the little hidden mysteries of life. "This hope for answered questions As rare as true conviction I stare into the distance, there is no truth in sight Who can tell me why" When he sings "everybodys looking for a blue sky", he's says blue sky because a blue sky is something everyone sees but never looks deep into and examines everything about it. Something common that people never appreciate. |

to me. The song is about a person that is contemplating suicide. This person tells a friend which is actually a secret cry for help. The friend is pretty much saying that by wanting to die "you're busy wasting life" I think the best part of this song that sums up the message is, "I cannot go on this way I bring no consolation for you and your pain No one else can change your fate You'll have to do it for yourself" |
