I don't mind; you're someone that ain't mine But someone that I'll get And you don't know how hard i've tried To convince myself that I could easily forget But you let this feeling here inside me One that never fails to find me That verse is me down to a tee... It's so feel good. |

I think it's about him and Mary. Mary's older than him, "But older than me now." He's being nostalgic about their teen years together and it COULD possibly be about when they lost their virginity together, which was at a costume party (possibly around Christmas time? Hence the reference to December and Christmas?) Only theories I suppose... |

I think this is a stab at Bush and the war in Iraq because countries like Finland and Sweden are also sending, "children" there because of NATO (I have a friend in Norway who was conscripted, he was only 18). I think it's asking why countries are fighting Bushs's battle when the, "war is lost." "One, two, three, four, what the hell're we fighting for, now Five, six, lucky seven, Stripmine your private road to hell. Had we known how this ends in our defeat. I wonder… Would we still have given you all the children you would ever need." I'm pretty certain that it is Bush saying, "the enemy." |
