'wounded' very well could be about gay bashing/a hate crime attack against a gay woman. now that we all know 'jumper' was written about a friend of steven's whom was gay, it could tie in. no matter what, an emotional song. to me, 'wounded' starts as a an 'intervention', with the 'narrator' moving on to say, 'dont worry we got your back', etc. a powerful song. don't know what it is, or how 3eb does it, but they've written dozens of 'personal' songs that make you feel like they've been where you've been in life. |
