Drop Dead, Gorgeous – Worse Than A Fairy Tale Lyrics 18 years ago
'The shadows come from under the ground, they sweep you off your feet.
As soon as the sun sets, the fucking earth sinks.'

Just to add another interpretation to this phrase, it seems to me that "the shadows" could be referencing the devil or demons, an allusion which appears in other songs on the album. "they sweep you off your feet" could be talking about how easy it is to succumb to these forces. The next line, "the fucking earth sinks" could mean that once the killer is being controlled by these forces, hell on earth commences, or earth sinks to hell (following the idea that hell is underground).

I do not think that the killer is actually a pastor. One definition for the term is "a person having spiritual care of a number of people". Maybe the killer considers himself such a "pastor" and he does harm to the victoms as a way of purifying them from their sins and devilish behavior. This fits the demon interpretation above. Also, from Drawing the Devil, in the line, "the devil's own hand was knotted by the pastor" could mean that the hand of the victom, or the devil as viewed by the killer, was knotted by the killer, who viewed himself as a pastor. To say that, I must say that I think "knotted" means that he put that ring on her finger, as in "tying the knot". Maybe he considered her his "wife" and this prostitute was trying to tempt him away.

Soulja Boy – Crank That (Soulja Boy) Lyrics 18 years ago
"haterz wanna be me
Soulja boy, I'm the man"
LMFAO! Soulja boy, if you take a look at the people that actually want to be you, you would hide in shame. What amazes me is that people buy your album when we should really be starting a fund to get you some therapy. You are a disgrace to humanity. I don't see how you can live with yourself.

Sky Eats Airplane – The Messenger Lyrics 18 years ago
I think that "The Messenger" is a reference to Jesus Christ, or at least a spiritual entity. "The messenger came out of nowhere" describes the initial insignificance of Jesus' birth. The song describes the message as being clear, and it talks about the reminder and the lesson. The vague reminder could mean Jesus' promise to return for his followers. The glorious lesson could refer to the entry to heaven gained by asking for Christ's forgiveness. The song also discusses the battles, physical and spiritual, that we experience in this life. The physical battles are indicated by "the grief....the knife" starting with the grief of loneliness to meeting someone new, to the bitterness and anger of separation. It also brings up the ambiguity in determining how one should lead one's life, exploring options from possibly suicide ("stay away from the emergency exit") to trying to gain too much in life ("and if there were a reward for winning the game: You will simply be left behind"). The spiritual battles can be seen in "there is a larger war going on" and "you cannot deny it, they are here". It also seems as though the lyrics could discuss the duality of god and the devil, with "The Messenger" also representing the devil or demonic forces. "We stared into those blank eyes. They were burning, the messenger was here" seems to show the influence of hell by "burning", but it could still be referencing a burning passion, which doesn't correlate to the "blank eyes". The anger of separation discussed earlier could actually be because of death. "blank eyes" might mean that someone has died, maybe a love who committed suicide after a tumultuous relationship ("the knife"), which would explain why the person is exploring the meaning and purpose of life later.

Sky Eats Airplane – The Messenger Lyrics 18 years ago
I think these are the correct lyrics:

The messenger came out of nowhere.
The name was clear yet unreachable.
All around us and we had never even though to look,
It was tearing us apart.
This is the fact: the message is clear.
You cannot deny it, they are here.
The reminder was vague, oh, the lesson so glorious.
Our hearts were made for a much higher purpose.
You wouldn’t think that everything happens for a reason,
The grief, the meet, the kiss, the fight, the break, the tears, the lies, the knife.
Stay away from the emergency exit,
We aren’t quite done yet.
We stared and stared and stared into those blank eyes.
It is burning; the messenger was here.
“Be careful of that mind of yours,” they say.
“It can play tricks on you when you’re lead astray.”
Pollute the mind and you’re asking for it.
Thinking that life matters is an understatement.
There is a larger war going on than guns and missiles,
And it is too close for comfort.
I have found deeper meaning in this game,
I have found deeper meaning
And I’m scared to hell because of it.
But I know, I will not look away.
Fear is another way of saying that you too have realized
The deep secrets of mankind.
And if there were a reward for winning the game:
You will simply be left behind.

We stared and stared and stared into those blank eyes.
They were burning; the messenger was here.
“Be careful of that mind of yours,” they say.
“It can play tricks on you when you’re lead astray.”
Pollute the mind and you’re asking for it.
To think that life matters is such an understatement.
There’s a larger war going on than guns and missiles
And it’s too close for comfort.
And it’s too close….for comfort.
This is the fact, the message is clear.
You cannot deny it; He is here.
