This is what it means to me. To me this means a relationship went bad and they broke up and now the man is feeling horrible after his girlfriend lied to him cheated on him betrayed him and could have been a better person to him. And the mama im coming home is him "coming home" to pain. as emo as that sounds. Mama is pain cause hes been hurt so many times before its not that far behind him. Kinda like pains a mother to him cause hes always felt it all his life. Thats what it means to me. Its helping me through my rough times now. Thanks Ozz for writing this amazing song. |

Yes it is Keith singing. The song seems to be about a couple who are going through a divorce. The first verse is saying how he though he had everything striaght then something happened between the couple. In the "Seems things are in a lockdown" verse, it seems like his wife just told him he wants a divorce and its very awkward now hence the nervous looks and speaking in whispers. then the rest of the verses is him packing up his stuff and leaving the house. As for the chorus hes losing his touch in relationships. none seem to be working out with him. Like he though he had everything straight but in the end it didn't work out. Thats just my take on it. Since no ones commented on it i thought id give it a shot. |

Lord I´m stuck in Lodi again So he gets to a town called Lodi and in that town he ran out of gas and didnt have enough money for any. The man from the magazine Said I was on my way Somewhere I lost connections Ran out of songs to play I came into town, a one night stand Looks like my plans fell through Oh ! Lord, Stuck in Lodi again So hes looking through a magazine and an article says his band is supposed to play at a bar a few towns over but that fell through because he didnt have money for gas and such. the one night stand line says he wanted to spend the night there and not for aan extended period of time. If I only had a dollar For ev´ry song I´ve sung And ev´ry time I had to play While people sat there drunk You know, I´d catch the next train Back to where I live Oh ! Lord, I´m stuck in a old dyin band Oh ! Lord, I´m stuck in a old dyin band This is the main charecter saying if he had a doller for every show hes played in Lodi and for every song hes played in Lodi and while people ignored his band hoping to get some money hed have enough money for a train so he could return home with his band because their getting annoyed with each other due to the stress. Thats just what it means to me. Some guy telling his experience in Lodi wishing he could get home sooner. But eventually he did eventually get home.
