I think this is about a single man in a relationship with a married woman. He's trying to talk himself out of loving her, but can't help himself falling at her feet. She cries with him because she doesn't know what to do, and is in love with both him and her husband. The finger of blame is her feeling terrible guilt about hurting him and betraying her husband. The second verse is about her pulling away from him, maybe to try and fix her marriage. But he knows she'll be back in touch and he'll wait for her. It's very very depressing! |
