for those of you who kept 'laughing for 15 damn minutes', you are immature. this is how music develop. without pop, we might not have pop rock. or electro-pop. or rock. just like how people supposedly hate rock. so back of bitches. and so what if this is a love/break up song? what if we never had those? some people need these simplistic, beautiful, pure lyrics. so again, back off. i love this song. it`s simple, but the lyrics are so pure it`s hard not to cry if something like this happened to you. |

i can totally relate to this song. it kinda 'hit' me when i was in the airport, leaving my hometown, just to get away from everything. my boyfriend, my first love, broke up with me. this song is about heartbreak and desperation, i should think. "I climb I slip I fall Reaching for your hands But I lay here all alone Sweating al your blood" She tries so hard to hold onto him, cling onto everything they`ve had, but well, he doesn`t. She`s alone. "If I could find out how To make you listen now Because I'm starving for you here With my undying love" She tries to figure what she can do to make things right, make him listen to all she wants him to know how badly she wants him - her undying love (how ironic. he said the same thing.) and how she craves for him. |

This song is absolutely lovely. This song is pretty straight-forward, but a few points to...point out: 1. I love how she uses the word 'images' and in the second verse sings 'You told me you would never, ever forget these images'. Very clever. 2. 'So you're gone and I'm haunted And I bet you are just fine' This is kind of sad. I mean, the guy is off somewhere, perhaps better off without her, having a good time, but she`s left with nothing and nobody. 3. 'Did I make it that easy To walk right in and out of my life?' My favorite line out of this whole song. |

i love how the song starts off slowly, and introduces a happier and brighter tone in "hey come back to me". that tells a story too, about 2 lovers drifting apart (again, i love how the first verse is relating to the sea) but in that "hey come back to me" verse, it hints that everything`s going to be alright, despite what happened. ...or i could be completely wrong. :D |
