Colbie Caillat – Bubbly Lyrics 17 years ago
Well, I think the song draws on both sexuality and security. The whole song represents a relationship, and how it changes as time goes by. At the start is just about sex, she feels young and gets the "tingles". The second stanza is similar, but she starts to feel safe in his presence. In the third she has fallen for him, and doesn't know what to say (hint: it's three words). By the fourth stanza, and the last rendition of the chorus, she is completely satisfied with being with him, even asleep. She now was him to take his time holding her tight.

Linkin Park – Hands Held High Lyrics 18 years ago
I dont get why everyone thinks this is just an anti-Bush song, its anti-war in Iraq. If you look at the lyrics for a bit its pretty clear.
The first verse is from the perspective of an American soldier, the corus is their prayers. The second verse is the perspective of an Iraqi child, the corus being his/her prayers. The end part "With hands held high into the sky so blue, the ocean opens up to swallow you" shows both sides praying, for the same thing, both getting fucked over. Jean-Paul Sartre's quote used in the song isnt JUST directed towards the American military, its quite obvious that rich and poor alike are fighting. However, in Iraq how often do you hear of the wealthy out fighting, or blowing themselves up? And since its in the Iraq half of the song, thats the perspective. The book could either be a holy book, or since Sartre had Marxist influence it could be the communist manifesto or Mao's little red book. Could also be "The Devil and the Good Lord", which was what the quote came from.
The beauty of the song is not the exact words or specific examples. Its that it shows both sides, both praying, and both being swallowed in the end.
