WOOHOO FIRST COMMENT!!!! ok, there are a few errors with the lyrics here. it's supposed to be "Singing, 'Don't plead me, no, for I will seize you in the snow', singing, 'Don't plead me no, for I will seize you in the snow' Then, "Henry first say Lilianne, girl of coloured hair, sitting by the river with the willows in hair, Lily sang a tune she knew, a shanty from the sea, he seized her by her little waist agains the willow tree" "Singing, 'fair thee, Oh well, where you gone no one can tell', singing, 'fair thee, Oh well, where you gone no one can tell'. This is a great song, but a very sad song. Some of the song's lyrics have been edited out because it gets a bit obscene. It takes place in the 1500's. A beautiful renaissance maiden princess who was raped and murdered in a forest by a wealthy royal 'comrade'. After he rapes and kills her, he just leaves her in the forest. while he was raping her, he whispered to her how she's worth a million silver pennies. such a sad, sad, song. |

| Amazing song. About someone lost in life...just wants to get away from it, but is just going down the wrong track. Sad song, but a good one.. | |
| Derek and the Dominos – Layla Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| ahhh amazing song! The guitar in the beginning is CLASSIC. I love the contrast between rock and melody. The piano and the guitar near the end of the song go wonderfully together, but is a bit sad, almost like a whining, sad tune...like two lovers that drifted away from eachother. | |
| Led Zeppelin – D'yer Mak'er Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I love this band. This song is very sad to me when you just read the lyrics, but the music makes the song sound more up-beat. The meaning of the song is very self-explanatory. | |
| Led Zeppelin – Over the Hills and Far Away Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Amazing. What would I do without this band? I've noticed that a lot of their songs are about women, and their life without love. Yes, they've had many girls, but they were all useless whores and one night stands. Never had they truly loved, and you can see that in most of their songs. This song is amazing. | |
| Gin Blossoms – Hey Jealousy Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| He did not want this song to be publicized. They recorded it in the studeo, but the singer did not want it to leave the studio. The guitarist in the group made sure that it went public, etc. The lead singer got very upset when it became popular because it was about his ex-gf whom he was very in love with, but she lost her love for him when he became famous and was out all the time drinking, doing drugs, sleeping with other women, etc. This song was very personal to him and he wanted it to remain private, but it was too late. He committed suicide shortly after this song became well-known. | |
