| I agree with Jarli. Escapist seems to me to be referring to trying to escape the harshness of reality into your own make believe world where you are free. I especially love "Nightingale in a golden cage, that's me locked inside reality's maze," it looks like it might be great, but the nightingale is still imprisoned, in the same way tuomas is imprisoned within reality. | |

Well...this is waaay off from your guys' interpretations...but to me it almost seems like a message from Tuomas to the fans about the band's new singer... So the first stanza could be about Tuomas doubting himself and his decision. War between him and the day- the day referring to when the "new" band receives judgment from us (the loyal fans ^_^). But the main thing that sticks out is in the chorus, it talks about possibly TWO people or things... which I think means Tarja and Anette. Caress the one, the never fading rain in your heart, the tears of snow-white sorrow. Refers to Tarja, sorta saying, yeah don't flame her she did what she thot was right and we had difference,s she is still a good person, etc. Caress the one the hiding amaranth, in a land of the daybreak. Saying, but also keep in mind to give the new singer and the band a fair shot when the album comes to be released, because it might be a hiding amaranth, and you wouldnt know it unless u saw for yourself. considering the theme of TPATP and Bye Bye Beautiful and MPG...and that this song is between then on the CD...I think this might be pretty plausible =). |
