I agree with yourgrandma, this song is about a psychotic break down, it's about a person who is experiencing one and a close friend/lover/family member (whatever be) is basically begging for them to be ok, "can you see me now?" is like saying "has it gone away?" I found the lyrics for this song to have a really obvious meaning, powerful, i LOVE it. |

whichever sex it be, this song ..well clearly at least a tiny part of it is about cheating. Which is a sin, whoever be the one cheating (wife or husband) ..is falling in love with the person they are cheating with. "Fall in love with your deep dark sin"... Dressed as one A wolf will betray a lamb To me, means he/she is acting as 'a lamb' which..is like a person without sin, not being him/her true self. He/she knows that it would be very easy to hurt his/her wife/husband by cheating, which is what he/she has done. This song is so obviously about a partner cheating on their spouse. |

Ok, so i got to thinking on "sometimes a dream turns into a dream" Maybe, he is asleep dreaming of her, or he could even be just laying there ..kind of like day-dreaming about her. Dreaming of these event's, i mean...example "running for her life", it didn't really happen..but it is what he is picturing in his mind. "With bated breath i lay" .. Maybe towards the end of the song he comes to the realization that his 'dream' about her can be nothing more..than a dream... or, He has day-dreamed it so much, that he is now actually dreaming it whilst sleeping. But that theory doesn't fit with the stalker/murderer theory much. It could just all be a dream. |

I agree with artemis17, Tarja and Anette are both amazing vocalist's who shouldn't be compared, Tarja is not in the band anymore, move on people, stop saying things like "imagine Tarja singing this song!!" Anette has a unique voice, it is calming and beautiful, Tarja's voice is mind-blowing, they are just both so amazing and the forever going comparison between them is getting very old. Eva lyrics, i think that this song is about a little girl named 'Eva' who is either bullied at school or at home, she dray-dreams it all away. This song is beautifully sung by Anette. |

Ok, so i thought id have a go at 'cracking' this - I do somewhat agree with andersap, I think a huge part of this song is about war and the consequences of it. Denying the lying A million children fighting For lives in strife For hope beyond the horizon War, clearly, I think ‘children’ refers to children, but I don’t think that ‘fighting’ is referred to as the full meaning. A dead world, a dark path - The children are thinking of this world as dead. Dark path is obviously meaning they cant see the end of this suffering. Not even crossroads to choose from - They don’t have choices on lifestyle. Bloodred carpets- bodies, blood..war..you get it.. Behold this fair creation of god! - Maybe, this song refers to children who have grown up surrounded by war, more so than a lot of other people, they blame god. I think that this song is about a woman telling a story of how she seduced a certain one boy. The line 'Die for my sins' is very powerful and can mean a number of things, but i look at it as though she is saying, "I know what harm this will cause" "Like the one once did" suggests there has been another boy, Statutory rape. "For your unashamed appetite" i think means that the boy wants to have sex with her, he doesnt see the harm in it because he is blinded by his lust for her. 'A little match girl freezing in the snow' she is refering to herself, being treated poorly, but she thinks that doing this to boys will give her the upper hand and fix her past problem/s. I think that the women has no regrets of what she has done, because she see's what was done to her worse. |
