The song was written not because he was mad at Adam Lavigne... It was a smack in the face of all the little girlies they ran into when they were touring with Chris Carrabba (however you spell)/Dashboard Confessional. It is really frustrating when going to concerts to see people who are really too young to understand the lyrics to the songs that are a big deal to the older listeners.... I think that's what the deal is. That's just the way it goes, however, because when I was a pre-teen I was listening to shit I shouldn't have understood either. The song is crafty- the c-c-c-c-controversial part is very planned and sneering, and the I'm heaven sent, don't you dare forget I am all you've ever wanted, what all the other boys all promised Sorry I told I just needed you to know I think in decimals and dollars I am the cause to all your problems Shelter from cold We are never alone Coordinate brain and mouth Then ask me what it's like to have myself so figured out I wish I knew is very scathing in its review of the music industry.
