I can almost certainly say this song completely explains my life right now. It's about how being just completely emotionally invested to someone else who is not nearly as much can feel. It can cause you to clutch to them to change their mind "Trust me when I say just a few more weeks" or even willing to let them do as they see fit with you as long as you get to be with them "You using me, do it slowly Make it last until I have to go" but to completely want them to just leave you alone to find someone else you deserve "Stay away from me, stay away from me now Less you gonna see, less you gonna see me out" this is an utterly heart breaking song of the internal conflict of a one sided relationship that isn't going anywhere |

okay; this song couldn't be about a boy since they are lesbians but what I get from this song is a sort of diary/confession to the writers self. they are with a person who hasn't done very much wrong but they still don't want to be with that person anymore even though possibly still having feelings for them. sadly the writer doesn't have the courage to break it off and is being very passive "I make myself unhappy so you'll go" and the writer is basically thinking god i am an idiot why am i doing this. |

basically I can sum this song up as an urequited love, but its different because usually these types of songs are on the lovers side, not the one who denys it. the story it tells is a story of a guy who's with a girl that he does not really love, and may be in it for the wrong reasons. Maybe about all the empty promises he has made to her. By far this is one of my favorite songs! |
