I think by crippling blow he is referring to a wake up call from reality. Maybe whoever (whomever? whatever) the song is about is just kind of slipping by through life, not really grounded in reality. Eventually the real world will come crashing down on him and it will be like a crippling blow? |

Brandon thinks his lyrics don't deserve to be printed because they're not good enough. That's what he thinks, not what I think so please don't attack me! He said that in an interview. Personally, I think it's "I will never be calm and well" like he is frantic and always anxious. |

Maybe this song is directed towards Brandon's bandmates from his first band, Blush Response. They left him behind in Vegas when they went to try to make it big in LA. I think it would be natural for there to be some hard feelings on the part of those former band members because of Brandon and The Killers' success, and Brandon has said in interviews that he has/had negativity towards them for leaving him. Maybe this song is just Brandon venting those issues. As an aside, this song has a strong Interpol-like sound I think, which isn't a bad thing! |

It should be there. The Mr. Brightside remix is 8 minutes and 45 seconds long, if you let it keep playing after the song ends, The Captain should start at about the 9 minute 49 second mark. I have the cd but I know others who got it off itunes and they have it. Hope it's there, it's just a tiny song that shows off a bit of The Killers' humor |

It was leaked onto youtube. It'll be released for radio Nov. 26 and on Nov. 27 it will be available to download on itunes. The cd with the song and video will be in stores Dec. 4. Please do buy it, either the download or cd as The Killers made this song and video for charity. |
