blade, your interpretation is pretty good. i also think that "with the lights out, its less dangerous" could be a reference to teen sex or other bad behavior - that if they do it in secret, then it isn't that bad. and "our little group has always been and always will until the end" to me has meant the mistaken teen belief that they will be close with the friends that they have at the time forever, when in reality most drift apart. and i have nothing to say about the random words either, haha. |

I pretty much agree with DrDuBois. I think that while this song is very beautiful and romantic, and it is a guy singing to a girl that he may care about very much, but I get the vibe that the main focus is just him trying to say the sweetest things possible to get her to have sex with him for the first time. Like "I was born to tell you I love you. Isn't that a song already?". This reference to "Your Call" seems like its saying, "We've gone over how much we mean to each other, so can't we just hurry up and do this already?" Plus there's that line about bleeding, ha ha. |
