Great song. As someone said, it's about growing up. I love the line - 'but at thirty years of age/through frolic and in rage/all regressed and healed in time' -which is repetitive of the earlier lyric, and is an acceptance of growing up. The way Nick delivers it, hushed and cautiously, fits in brilliantly. |

I love how the idea of planets appears in many 311 songs, but not too much to be cheesy. One question; which element contains '6 protons, 6 neutrons, 6 electrons'? Is it carbon? |

No, it's not live, I'm sure. As someone said, RHCP were indeed against using drum machines, you can understand why. They preferred a real drummer recording it. However, I've heard Flea recently go back on this. He now accepts that people can come up with awesome collages and stuff. The other meaning for the song is that it's about 4 friends having fun and rocking out, which is reflected in the production sounds of the song. |
