I think the video says a lot about one possible meaning. To me, the child represents an accidentally successful adult in his narcissistic state. Or it could be that he is treated like a child: being "looked after" all day. The narcissist is suspicious of the company he keeps when he turns his head & they smile at him, then clink glasses when he's not looking. The image of the narcissist dressed in casual wear & everyone around him dressed up. The distorted expressions on their faces represent distorted minds & souls. The reporters wanting to hear what he has to say when he has nothing to say & it's suggested the gray-haired man is behind his success. The car bouncing, the hand moves: it's all reminiscent of urban/pop/rap/alternative bands/musicians. The video is showing how thwarted today's music industry is for sure. |
