its def. "push it real..." and it ain't "demon souls" its vitamin souls. and ive listened to it really carefully and the words in third verse dont seem to match up.great song, video equally great! im a new fan of Gorillaz and luv em already. is the song meaning really as straightforward as literally, kids with guns? prob. by the way, i know that that comment was done in 'o5 but i just gotta say - damon albarn isnt just 2-D hes Noodle, Russell and Murdoc as well! and he had blur. dont forget. another great band (but would u call Gorillaz a band???) |

i read somewhere that when this song came out it was so popular and sweet that even little kids were singing it in the playground cos its like a nursery rhyme.What i dont get is you people who complain about Moe not being a good singer - she doesnt have to be, it just works so well in the song! think about it - wouldnt all the charm and velvety-undergroundness be ruined if you got, like, this amazingly talented singer instead! yes!!!!you people...grrr.... |

jeeze, black jack davey, this song is all about telling women not to succumb to chauvanists(did i spell that right?)like you? trying to steal the limelight? first of all, Meg is too shy to even WANT to steal the limelight. Secondly. jack wrote the song but asked her to sing it because he thought it would be better having the message that women should stand up for themselves coming from a woman and not from him because that would be hypocritical and pretty much going against what the song is saying. And FINALLY, Meg has the perfect voice for that song and for the stripes - it isnt perfect at all but it suits the raw style of the stripes like their simple drumming and generally easy riffs. so there!!! and jack writes all the songs. not quite sure of the lyrics they COULD mean anything really. but i do at least know that he came up with the tune cos he was thinking about what sort of theme tune he would do for the Bond movies, if you listen to it with that in mind you can actually get that.
