I'm curious as to what other material came out of the love to admire sessions. This is far above the majority of OLTA material. The voicemail in the middle gives such a feeling of separation and alienation. The guy talking keeps saying "if you ever need anything," and "it was just so great to see you, hope things are well," definitly fits into the whole strung out on coke / being in a rough place with substance use thing. Lines like "greeting the great" give it a pretty profound feeling as well. Strung out on coke, estranged from former friends, contemplating the infinite? |
