This song is fucking amazing, can't believe that no one has posted about it yet! It's about someone who just got out of a relationship. The person he broke up with expected him to be all shook up and depressed about the breakup. While obviously not happy, he is not destroyed, he's realized that he can move on. |

So, am I the only person aware of this band? The song is pretty self explenatory I think. He's confronting a girl who he has caught lying. "You're ever so protective, aren't you? Baby, is there something that I should know?" She's coming up with excuses and trying to change the subject, but he's not having it. "And don't you ever, ever think that I was ever holding back secrets, I've got nothing to hide" Finally he decideds that she's not worth getting worked up and upset over and let's karma have it's way with her " I'll let karma be the killer, the fall was a bad one Would've stabbed your heart if you had one" Love this band, straight from my hometown! |

The meaning is pretty easy to glean. They have a purely sexual relationship and things are going smoothly. But, when she tries to make the relationship something real, he tells her that he can never "get" with someone like her. |

I think you're right about the "Her social status lingers..." line, but I really can't hear "she found its not so easy" bit. Anyways, I really liked the song and seeing as no one put up the lyrics I decided to take a shot at it. But this is songmeanings, so enough rambling. I feel that you are pretty much spot on with your interpretation of the song. It's about a girl who longs to make it in Hollywood and get famous and falls into all the cliches associated with the lifestyle. |

To me this song represents a platonic relationship from the guy's perspective. He loves her so much, but ultimately all he can get back is friendship. He wants there to be more to their relationship, but she's keeping any strong feelings that she might have for him locked up inside. He wants to cut all ties and leave, but he just can't bear to leave her - so he stays. He basically gives up on ever trying to be more than a friend, but he can't help think that she loses whenever she tries to get with someone else, because no one can love her like he can. I can't wait for this new album, Kanye always comes back with a new refreshing style; the way his musicianship has evolved over the last couple of years truly is amazing. |
