Surprised there haven't been more comments on this song. It is an amazing song, and written well. I think its pretty self explanatory. He was at a party or something the night before and got with this girl that he has had some feelings for. This girl was already with somebody at the time, but they got drunk and slept together. He is singing this as he is waking up in the morning next to her. He admits to knowing she has someone else, but he is admitting to her how he feels and wants her to compare the two of them becaus ehe knows he can be better for this girl. |

This is one awesome song, big props to Say Anything. It's very deep and pulls me in. I agree with WOWZAAx, but I think its more then just a crush. "No matter where I go or whore my mind, I'll always stumble home and pray i'll find you with your flame-throw eyes and jilted smile so you can soothe my wounds and drain my bile." It seems like he is describing this one girl, whom he wants but can't get. She is buried into his head and he can't forget her. He's praying she is thre when he gets home so that can she can heel his wounds from all the pain he went through, when he was dreaming about this girl. So I think it's a reference to the crush out of his reach who he only dreams about being with. |
