This is so good! First of all, in every good song i guess the meaning is never revealed and has lots of interpretations. When I grow up, lots of child- innocent feelings waiting to grow. She's a lot in touch with nature and at the same time in front of a swimming pool (video). A lot of duality. Crab claws and bottles of rum are very graphical and waiting for the seashell to embrace her, this is very spiritual, simply contact with that other side, call it god, someone who died, the ocean, I dont know. She mentions all the things she will do sometime, she hasn't done yet. This song involves so many feelings. Lots of love and understanding about life, death, cycles, energy. Doing something bad to someone who wants to be loved by you. Not wanting to hurt something as small as a drawing of a funny man. She is good with plants, again in touch with nature, while the music is electronic. So I don't see her like somebody who wouldn't enjoy life because of the world we live in and has to like its technology. But she lives inside her world... And in her world the character who has cucumbers grown in his eyes because of too much time spend on nothing and waiting for a moment to arise, this could mean a feeling we have when we feel that life is going nowhere and we do nothing and just wait for something to happen. The cucumbers represent her world in nature, growing, evolving. Everything is connected. There is not a word that hasn't got a meaning for her. Whatever this character is, she want it to catch her with its long arms. Or maybe it already caught her and that's the reason she wants to grow to do all the things she wants to do. I thank Karin Dreijer Anderson and her brother for causing this happyness in me today that I discovered their music. After listening to this song i will put my soul in all the things I do. Amen. |

| The meaning: In an Eastern philosophy "horses" are symbolic/representative of the 5 senses - the things that keep us tied to the physical/material plane of existence. When you can transcend the limitations of these senses and achieve a higher level of consciousness, you are leaving the "horses" behind - "flying over them." The song is about someone who was so affected by (A loss? A breakup?) they decide to give up the things that keep them tied to this world by emotion. | |
