MM great song. I feel like I'm in this boat, but in a different interpretation than you guys. So IMO, this guy broke up with his lover. He wants her back and wants to feel that love again. But maybe she's on the fence about him. Which is why this could be the end of the relationship or maybe the beginning of something amazing. Not entirely, sure but this is what I'm going through and I just interpret it this way. |

This song is awesome. The steel guitar adds so much to it and it's a beautiful sound. Anyway, I think this song is more about how we're all growing up... but get kind of lost with the complications in life such as money and other things that don't seem to matter as much. When we focus our time and efforts into these things, we forget what truly matters. We get lost. We then realize later on and kind of regret that we kind of the time we had lost. |

| If you guys didn't know, Ace (the singer) has a person that's really close to him named Salvy. I just figured that this song is kind of about him. In one of the video's ace made for his recording studio, he said that Salvy just kind of yells at him but he loves him anyway. So maybe Ace has been living his life with mistakes and such, when there are people like Salvy telling him that he's screwing up since he's experienced it. He knows they're right but does it anyway. | |

Wow, I've known about this song for a year because of my ex-girlfriend. This was one of her favorite songs. Recently I've been listening to it alot. I've always known the lyrics, but never really thought about it. We ended our relationship last year and recently we started talking again. This song (and everyone's opinion on the meaning of it) is exactly what I'm going through. She's really been treating my like shit and putting me through all this while I do everything I can for her. Whoever said they wish someone would do this to them, I'm sorry but you're dumb. It's the worst feeling ever.... knowing that someone you really love and care about doesn't exactly feel the same way. I feel pathetic (and I probably am) for it. I heard Ryan Adams doesn't like this song either. My ex song him and said that he only wrote this song (anymore at least) cause he felt like shit and was drinking or something like that. |
