My interpretation: He feels some person (Doherty)´s wasting his life doing what he´s doing... and he feels bad for him cuz he has more than enough potential to do better... he used to feel guilty for him but not anymore, and now can clearly see it´s not his fault and he´s not to blame... dont know... that is if he was writing about the tumultous relationship he and pete had. but who knows for sure what he could´ve been possibly writing about... |

She´s aware of how ephemeral things can be, and that´s why she suffers not being able to enjoy the simple things and ironically taking them for granted. Probably has an eating disorder, Anorexia I would say..."This time you'll listen to the movement of your body, how it keeps on despite you and it frightens you because you're barely alive". Feels empty, wants to die, but can´t because deep inside she´s still hoping something might change and make her feel "alright." Injects heroine -"and the greatest escape that you ever did make with your arms by your side, left it up to fate"- suicidal/self-destructive behavior. Tired of the monotonous and rutinary. Desperately hopeless. Bored. |
